What Do You Look Like?
Appearance: Marie stands at 5' 7" (170 cm), weighing 125 lbs (57 kg). Her hair is white-blonde, done in a bob-cut the midway point of her long neck. The bangs are swept out of her face, revealing an average-sized, angled forehead. What eyebrows she has are distinctly light, to the point of nonexistence; despite this, they work well with her eyelashes to frame her large brown eyes. Marie's nose is small and swooping, with a straight bridge and a slight curve at the tip, and tiny nostrils. A deeply-defined Cupid's-bow leads to full lips, generally either stained red or left a more natural pink color. Her chin is thin and pointed, very visible in profile; it matches an angular, sharp jaw. Her clavicle is somewhat hidden, the bones not obvious at all. Her shoulders are thin and feminine, leading down to thin and feminine arms. Her hands are very nice, long and slender; she is often complimented on them. Marie's breasts are quite ample, considering the size of her back. However, there is no evidence of a stomach to be seen. Her hips are a little wide for the rest of the frame, a point of insecurity. Her legs are average-sized, but have a nice shape to them, ending in small feet.Starter Outfit: Marie's only real clothing is her dress. It is knee-length and armless, holding to all the contours of her silhouette. She bought it in a boutique in Sinnoh, and thought it would be the perfect dress for the occasion. Her shoes are from a shopping trip she went on with her grandmother in Saffron City. A pair of black, toeless boots, their heels are the perfect length: long enough to be fashionable, but short enough to walk on for hours at a time. Because she is traveling, she totes an elegant black handbag with gold finishings. She generally has it held in her left hand, over the left shoulder; when she tires of that, she wears it on a strap on her right shoulder. A pair of pearl earrings finishes off the outfit; they were a gift from her father on her 16th birthday, and they are her go-to accessory.

Where Did You Come From?
Marie Ferrous is the daughter of Aurelie Renaud and Jaime Ferrous. Aurelie was once a high-class lady of Saffron City, who fell madly in love with a low-class farmer from Vermillion City. Despite her parents' wishes, they were married, and started a small produce farm outside of Saffron. The two started a family there, and worked on the farm for quite some time. However, it was soon discovered that under their land was an enormous deposit of Pokémon Fossils and other prehistoric material. Through excavation of these products, the Ferrous family became much wealthier than they had ever anticipated—and Aurelie's parents were then much happier with her decision.
Very rich and feeling very fortunate, they moved to Celadon City and procured a beautiful penthouse loft. Marie was five years old at the time, and subsequently considers Celadon City to be her home. She lived there all her life, in conjunction with many trips around the world: exotic places like Cinnabar City and the Orange Islands and the west coast of Johto and the south of Hoenn. Being exposed to these places gave her a very rounded understanding of her life and the world around her, especially the Pokémon. Marie was a very bright child, but somewhat entitled, exasperating many of her tutors over the years. On her tenth birthday, her parents gave her Snorunt, which would become her childhood companion. (She has left it behind with her grandparents, who own other Ice-type Pokémon, while she goes on her jaunt of Kalos.) She had few friends as a child, but many acquaintances from others of the upper-class. She was known as a very lovely debutante, often garnering the attention of the men around her.
Marie is the second of three children; however, only one of her siblings is currently alive. Her deceased older sister, Lucie, was once a Pokémon Researcher. She focused on the study of Bug-type Pokémon. During an expedition, however, she was involved in an accident with a horde of Heracross, and left comatose. After two years, her family decided to take Lucie off of life support. This event causes Marie great inner conflict, and prompts her departure to Kalos. Other than her sister, Marie has a younger brother, Rob. A well-known athlete in the Johto Pokeathlon, he focuses on the training of Electric-type Pokémon. They had little personal connection before their sister's accident, but the distress on their family brought them much closer together. They have a regular correspondence. Marie also has a good relationship with her maternal grandparents, Gilles and Yvette Renaud. She relates to them and their lifestyle quite closely, despite the disdain that is shared between them and her father.
Who Are You?
Marie Ferrous is what one generally thinks when the phrase "proper young lady" is brought up. Because she was very young when her parents worked on their farm, she knew nothing but the lavish lifestyle they provided to her after their success. This is in distinct contrast to her older sister, who was quite content to work in the fields and was very uncooperative in terms of etiquette. Marie relates very well to her grandparents, who share many of her tastes and attitudes. She is very hygienic, preferring a quiet day indoors with the windows shut than a messy day at the beach. She has an eye for fashion, and spends many of her leisure hours with catalogues and magazines and other publications dealing with clothing. Who Are You?
Due to her mother's and her grandparents' focus on her etiquette and social graces, Marie is very polite and soft-spoken. She generally keeps her ideas and emotions to herself; when asked about her opinions or ideas, she will present a somewhat watered-down version in an effort to be polite to all parties. This is not to say that she does not have strong ideas or opinions, which she most certainly does. For example, she holds great disdain for her brother's career, finding it uninteresting and unnecessarily violent. She detests Fire-type and Ground-type Pokémon for the same reason. Her types of choice are Steel-type and Ice-type, although she has interests in most of the other types.
In the aftermath of her sister's accident, Marie took it upon herself to care for her comatose sister. The two were actually very close, despite the many differences in their personalities. She was hit the hardest by her parents' decision to remove her sister from life support. She now feels very unsure of herself and her emotions, and this prompted her parents to send her to Kalos on the recommendation of a friend.

Behind The Scenes
Your name: Hi~ I'm Écrivaillon. (Eh-kree-vai-yhon) Most people just call me Ecri (Eh-kree). Très simple, non? :3
RP experience: I've been RP'ing online for about five years, now. I've hopped between MMORPG's, to forum RPG's, to Tumblr RP's, to... Well, short and sweet, I have a lot of experience. Past RP'ing, I'm actually a playwright. So, there's some extra writing experience there.
RP example:
Marie took the pilot's hand and stepped down from the helicopter. "Thank you, Captain," she responded. "I'm not sure I could've made that dip on my own." She smiled at him sweetly. She knew she could have, but she certainly could not have refused such gallantry. This man works for her grandfather. It would have been incredibly uncouth. He gave her a nod and a slanted grin. She cleared her throat—it bothered her, the blades of the helicopter—and she looked out at the skyline. "So, this is Lumiose City. My, it's quite the sight. I've never been in Kalos before, you know." She walked closer to the edge of the building, peering down at the elegant city below her. "It is somehow so quaint and so sophisticate at the same time. How does it do that." She looked back at the pilot, hoping he would engage her in the small-talk she kept pushing, but he only beamed at her dumbly. Marie shot him a tight smile. Deciding she tired of his company, she reaches into the black handbag hanging off of her right shoulder and pulls out a map of the city. "Well, if I'm to meet this Professor Sycamore person, I should take my leave. It's quite the journey." Without giving him another minute of her time, Marie sped to the door on the opposite side of the roof and left posthaste.
